    Transfer Interview (Recommended, Virtual)
This is a 25–30 minute virtual interview with an Admission counselor. It’s an opportunity to discuss your academic path so far, why you’re considering a transfer, and what you’re looking for at Bard. You can also ask detailed questions about majors, credit evaluation, and timelines.

Helpful to have on hand: unofficial transcripts, a list of in-progress courses, your prospective area(s) of study, and any context you’d like us to consider (e.g., course sequencing, work/family commitments, or time away from school).

Format: virtual only; you’ll receive a confirmation email with a video-conference link after scheduling.

Return to College (RCP) Interview (Required, Virtual)
This is a required 25-30 minute virtual interview with an Admission counselor. We’ll talk about your educational background, professional and personal commitments, goals at Bard, and the support you may need to thrive as a returning student. Your application cannot be reviewed without this interview.

How to prepare: gather unofficial transcripts or a list of previous colleges, in-progress coursework (if any), a brief overview of work/volunteer experience, and any context about time away from school.

Format: virtual only; you’ll receive a confirmation email with a video-conference link after scheduling.
